We've been raising Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs for approximately 10 years. All of our puppies
are born in the barn with our alpacas and learn early on to live with, co-exist with, and protect our herd.
Currently
we have no puppies available. Next litter isn't "planned for" until late spring. We do have a waiting list for many
of these upcoming puppies. However, if you'd like to be added to our waiting list, please contact us and request to be added.
We never know when someone will drop off our list or ask to be moved to a future litter if they aren't ready for a puppy.
It costs nothing to get on our waiting list. And, when we have a puppy in the barn available for you, we'll contact you to
confirm a puppy for you. At that time, we ask for a 50% deposit ($375) and balance isn't due until puppies are 6 weeks old.
Price for our puppies is $750 and they may be used as breeding dogs. Purchase of a puppy from
us includes:
1. Initial puppy shots and booster
2. Worming
3. Microchip
4.
Transport to you, when available
5. Training on our farm until they are 12 weeks of age
Our
puppies are guaranteed against hip issues for 1 year from date of purchase. We request a $375 deposit to hold a puppy for
you. Balance is due when puppies are 6 weeks old. Puppies typically stay on our farm, with parents, until somewhere between
8-12 weeks of age. If you have a "mentor" LGD on your farm (or this puppy will not be a farm/working dog), puppy
may go home at 8-12 weeks. Otherwise, we really like to have puppies stay on our farm until they are at least 12-16 weeks
old, in order to be trained with parents and "taught the ropes". We, as humans, do very little in the way of training
of these wonderful guardians - the guarding instinct is inherant in them and it really takes no work on our part to "train"
them.
We have many customer references all across the country from farms who have purchased
our puppies over the years. We recently received this comment, via Facebook: "Sandman, our 6 mo. old puppy from Randy
Coleman's last litter, has the best LGD instincts we've ever seen. He's going to be HUGE, sweet puppy." Thanks, Michael
& Sherry Alpert (Pacas & Pyrs). We pride ourselves on our reputation for our Pyrenees puppies and stand behind them
after the sale. And, since we do cross-country alpaca transport, delivery of your new puppy may be available, based on your
location and our transport schedule. Please inquire.
Please contact us if you're looking for proven
guards, ready to go to work on your farm. We occasionally have adult dogs or older pups available as farms who are down-sizing
or moving out of livestock will contact us with dogs they need to place on new farms. We are very particular about the dogs
we accept to re-home and will forward on all known information on them to any new owners.
